Our Priorities
Donor support has already made a transformative impact on the lives of students at Harris Westminster.
Donors have supported many of our key priority areas:
Disadvantaged students
Maintaining our academic standards whilst making this opportunity available to more disadvantaged students is our driving force: we are providing life-changing opportunities for these young people in a way that few other organisations would be able to.
Because we do not have the resources to offer students the support they need, we do not attract disadvantaged students in the numbers we wish to.
Donor support can be the difference.
Wellbeing
Many of our students come from disadvantaged backgrounds and research shows a strong link between disadvantage and poor mental health.
In order to maintain the quality and responsiveness of the school mental health support and meet an increasing need, additional resource is required.
In schools, mental health support is not currently funded by the Government.
Area of greatest need
Donor support to our unrestricted fund helps us offer this transformative education to more students: it supports all that we do and make possible for our students.
To offer the academic, pastoral and co-curricular support we believe our students deserve costs £750,000 more per year than we receive from the Department for Education.
